Estate Electric Vehicles (EEV)

ACG Logo

The Estate Electric Vehicles (EEV) that are manufactured by ACG in Southern California are more than just ordinary utilitarian Golf Carts !

That is why we like to refer to them as "Cars".

This is because in our EEVs you find carlike features that are generally not available from other manufacturers of Golf Carts.

Also many of our models can be optionally equipped so they are legally classified as Low Speed Vehicle (LSV) or Neighborhood Electric Vehicle (NEV) and therefore can be registered in most States for operation on public streets.

What is EEV?

EEV is abbreviation for "Estate Electric Vehicle".

One of the definitions of "Estate" is:
an extensive area of land in the country, usually with a large house, owned by one person, family, or organization.

EEV is a Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) that is intended to be used exclusively on a private property such as Estate is.

Because EEV does not qualify as Low Speed Vehicle (LSV), it therefore can not be used on any Public Road.

EEV is intended to be used exclusively on a Private Property, be it "Estate", Industrial Complex or Gated Community.

To qualify as an EEV, a vehicle generally has:

  1. Four (4) wheels
  2. Top speed of less than 20 MPH
  3. Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR)
of less than 1,361 kilograms (3,000 lbs.)

EEVs are not regulated by NHTSA, they are therefore exempt from all federal safety standards that apply to motor vehicles, and they are not required to meet any criteria for vehicle crashworthiness.

Can EEV be operated on Public Roads ?

NO and there are no exceptions. EEVs can be operated only on Private Property. EEV can never be driven on any Public Road.

Does EEV have VIN

NO and there are no exceptions. EEVs can not be issued Vehicle Identification Number (VIN), because they are designed only for operation on Private Property. EEV can never be registered or licensed for use on any Public Road.
